2 Sept. 2022..... High Five Friday π£π¨ππππ―πππΌππ΄π€ββ πΌπΆπβ¨π
Hello everyone π,
TGIF π»πΈand a very warm welcome to my world π. The weekend is upon us yet again, I have had a great day and it's now time to share it with you including some of the trending stories that caught my eye π. I am happy and grateful for this day π―. As always thank you for stopping by and let's get started π¨.
I did have a short morning session with a few rounds of brisk walking π£ and jogging ππ around the neighborhood π². It was cold but the morning breeze π was incredible π―. Then I was back indoors for some resting then a little of the daily chores. Then a little bit of youtube and news. Another chance for a walk came in the afternoon getting the cooking groceries. Next was the usual refreshing nap π€, then some cooking and news before heading out one last time for the slow paced relaxing evening walk. To finish off, let's quickly look at some of the trending stories.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ. All eyes on the supreme court with the hearings and submissions coming to an end today. Both sides desperately trying to convince the 7 judges. It's gonna be a busy weekend for the judges as the ruling must be out on Monday. Is the elected president going to be sworn in or will they cancel the whole election? That's the big question.
Globally, in Ukraine the dire situation at the nuclear plant, has led to the IAEA leaving two staff there on a permanent basis to keep monitoring and implementing safety measures. Meanwhile, Russia has suspended the nord stream gas pipeline indefinitelyπΉ. They had said it was for maintenance but since changed their mind. Elsewhere in the UK, torries go to the polls and on Monday we shall know who will be the next PM.
In Asia, Sri Lanka's ousted president who had fled the country jetted back home, I guess he was homesickπΉ. In Afghanistan, tragedy as a deranged person detonated a bomb in a mosqueπ’. Then political shenanigans in Myanmar as ousted leader Ang San Syu Kyi was sentenced to 3years for electoral fraud, she already has a 17 year sentence for corruption. The military doing the most, the British envoy sentenced to 1 year for violating visa rules.
Across the pond, a close shave for Argentinian vice president as someone tried to shoot her close range but was over powered by her supporters. It was a real gun loaded with five bullets, but somehow it didn't work even as the shooter pulled the triggerπΉ. Her guardian angel at work πΌ. Protests followed to condemn the incident.
See you again tomorrow on an amazing Caturday π, get ready for naughty BobπΉ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―.So that's it, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
