Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. I am really happy and grateful for this day💯. Oh my, it's already Saturday and you know the drill....it's Caturday in honor of our furry friends. I love you for stopping by yet again 👏; a warm welcome and let's get into today's stepping activities and trending stories. Come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, it was a shorter morning session , brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice walk as I enjoyed the wonderful breeze 🍃 though the cold doesn't want to go away. Anyways, back indoors I did rest a while before embarking on the household chores, mostly cleaning and tidying up. Then I watched some news and checked crypto. The next walking got me going to the mall later in the afternoon for some cooking groceries. Next I was back for the usual refreshing nap. After the nap I did some cooking, watched some youtube before heading out for the slow paced evening walk. So that's how the day went and it's now time to quickly look at what's trending.
Locally, nothing much but the usual political shenanigans , politicians all quiet waiting for Monday. The big day😹.
Globally, Ukraine trending, that nuclear power plant still a cause for worry. In the nearby town authorities have been distributing iodine pills and masks just incase of a leak. Yesterday the nuclear plant lost its power connection yet again😱. but thank God the IAEA personnel is on the ground, fingers crossed. Elsewhere, thousands of people rallied in Prague, Czech republik protesting against their govt, NATO and EU. The the issue of rising energy prices, especially electricity and gas is a big problem.
Meanwhile in Moscow, the funeral and burial of former Russian leader Gorbachev was underway. Putin absent from the ceremony, apparently busy😹 probably attempting to re create a new USSR.
In Asia, Sri Lanka trending as former president sneaked back into the country after fleeing protesters in July😹. In Pakistan, more aid still needed after the devastating floods that has displaced millions, now there are fears of waterborne diseases spreading.
Finally, I saw something cool in Poland. With rising energy prices, there is a cinema powered by bike pedal power. The screen comes to live as a few people pedal at the side. Clever way to save on electricity. Lately, I have been looking into how solar works to save up on the electric bill, probably I should look into pedaling too😹.
