Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's a new week and the stepping continued unabated. Please keep reading 👓 as I fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for being here and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday I kicked off the day with some few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. A short but quite enjoyable session in the wonderful morning air🍃.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The mask mandate is back on in closed places. It was also World refugee day, the UNHCR saying close to 100 million people worldwide are refugees 😱.
Globally, Ukraine still trending, shelling in the east. Today president Zelensky electronically addressed the African Union talking about the war and how Russia is fueling food shortage now that grains can't be exported 😱. Speaking of grains, Russia bombed a grain warehouse in Odesa😬. Elsewhere, nationwide strike in Belgium, as workers protested in Brussels, against the rising prices😢. This thing is worldwide where the prices of everything has just gone insane.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin still at 20k as we start a new week. I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre for a couple of errands and then headed back home 🏡.
Next I was back indoors for the usual nap 💤. A restful nap and I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in Israel, PM Bennett will step down for Lapid as the ruling coalition is to submit a bill to dissolve parliament and call for elections 😱. Elsewhere in Columbia history has been made after the election, a first ever left wing president has come to power and also the first ever female vice president 🎉👏.
Congratulations 🎊 to both.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃. I finally made it back home 🏡 safe and sound as darkness fell.
