Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we just began the fourth week of the year and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and also crypto news, which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹, kept going, otherwise a quiet day. Down in South Africa, protests as South African foreign minister had a meeting with Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov in Pretoria 🙀.
Globally, that leopard tank talk trending as Poland says it's ready to send it leopard tanks to Ukraine 🙀. This even without Germany's approval 😹. Ukraine have said they need around 300 of such tanks to drive the Russians out. However, Germany still treading carefully so as not to avoid escalation of the war .
More political shenanigans as Erdogan warned Sweden on NATO bid after that Quran burning protest last week 🙀.
Let's get onto the Asian continent😹. Pakistan trending as a fault in the power grid led to countrywide blackouts🙀.
Across the pond in the US, a man photographed with his foot on Nancy Pelosi's desk on Jan 6, 2021 has been found guilty 😹. Remember that nasty attack on capitol hill.
Still in the US, Elon Musk is on trial for claims that he defrauded investors by tweeting he had secured funds to privatize Tesla 🙀. He testified he had backing from Saudi financiers in 2018.
Down in south America, Brazilian president Lula Da Silva stopped by in Argentina for talks with his counterpart. Apologized for the bad behavior of his predecessor 😹. Promised the two countries will work together for the betterment of their people. Agreements were signed to boost trade and cooperation. There is talk of a common currency . Wishing them the very best💯
