Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.As always I am so grateful for this day. It's been wonderful stepping it out 💯, now that it's almost bedtime 💤 let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with a little bit of brisk walking around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had to get something to cook from the shopping centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, and that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. Over in DRC the Pope continued his tour of the country, today addressed a stadium in Kinshasa.
Still in Africa, Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen stopped by Khartoum in Sudan for talks to normalize relations between the two countries.
Globally, Ukraine trending as fighting rages in the east. European commission president Ursula von de Leyen arrived in Kyiv ahead of tomorrow's summit. President Zelensky urged the EU to keep enforcing sanctions on Russia.
Meanwhile in Russia, president Putin led celebrations of the 80th anniversary of WW 2, saying they will deploy more than just tanks in dealing with Ukraine 🙀.
Also trending, prime ministers of Spain and Morocco met in Rabat in a bid to repair decades of strained bilateral ties. They signed trade agreements.
Across the pond in the US, political shenanigans 😹 as democratic representative Ilhan Omar was ousted from the house foreign affairs committee . Republicans removed congresswoman Omar for her previous comments critical of Israel🙀.
Also trending, long time Guantanamo bay prisoner Majid Khan has been released after more than 16 years🎊. He will be resettled in Belize.
Finally, we have all been feeling the pain at the pump 😭 especially last year. Some people are laughing all the way to the bank😹. In the UK, Shell have just recorded their highest profits in 115 years, estimated at $39.9 billion 🙀 for 2022. Across the pond Exxon doing much better in 2022 with $57 billion in profits. Then Chevron at $36.6 billion. It's a wild world 😹.
