Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Another active day is fading away and as bed 💤 time approaches it's time to wrap things up and get ready for Thursday. Thank you for reading and let's get going 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. It was drizzling when I came back indoors, now I hear full on rain. So in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, all eyes still on the earthquake disaster region in Turkey and Syria. The death toll has risen yet again above 11,000🙀. My sincere condolences to all the bereaved families 😭. The rescue work still going on but chances of getting survivors are growing slimmer with every passing hour😭.
The cold weather making things worse.
Also trending, today Ukrainian president Zelensky made a surprise visit to the UK, addressed both houses of Parliament, met PM Sunak and pushed for fighter jets🙀.
A busy day as he also met King Charles at Buckingham palace. Next stop is Paris and then Brussels.
Across the pond in the US, NATO secretary general Jen Stoltenberg met secretary of state Blinken to discuss military support for Ukraine in Washington DC. Let's hope that the war ends this year. Something's gotta give 💯.
Finally, Nigeria's supreme court has prevented the govt from enforcing a Friday deadline to swap old bank notes for new ones as the IMF flagged disruptions to trade and payments. The central bank wants to reduce cash in circulation to combat inflation, but a shortage of new bills has caused anger ahead of elections.

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
As always thank you so much JJ for stopping by. Its quite unbelievable the devastation caused by that earthquake. It is a tough situation, nowadays we have to be ready for anything, nothing shocks me anymore, I have concluded its a wild world.
