Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's been another wonderful and active day and as always I am glad that you stopped by yet again 👏. I am truly grateful for this day, many wanted to see it but they didn't. So let's quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. Here we go 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, There was also some interesting and exciting football matches going on especially the EPL.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Tomorrow the opposition have planned rallies against the government, protesting the high costs of living🙀. On the continent, Lagos governor has been re elected in a win for Nigeria's ruling party.
Globally, Switzerland trending as UBS bank bought Credit Suisse for $3.24 billion in a govt brokered deal. Authorities had been scrambling to rescue credit Suisse before financial markets open on Monday. This to give hope and build trust in investors and depositors😹.
Meanwhile bitcoin is not waiting for Monday. Today it topped off at 28k😹. Definitely much better than these centralized organizations ran by an elite few.
Elsewhere, a defiant Putin visited Russia controlled Mariupol in Ukraine 🙀. Driving himself in the dead of the night apparently inspecting ongoing repairs and projects😹.
Let's go to Iran where the Iranian president has received an invitation to visit Saudi Arabia following a reconciliation deal. The two countries had a bitter falling out some years back and they are seeking to mend that💯.
Close by in Iraq, they were marking twenty years since the US invasion which left thousands dead and Saddam Hussein executed 😭. All for weapons of mass destruction that never existed. A big miscalculation and blunder by the Bush administration.
A similar blunder in Afghanistan too, after billions of dollars spent, lives lost; the Taliban are back in power with a vengeance🙀 just like before.
Finally, let's finish off with crazy weather. Floods have destroyed homes of quake survivors in northwest Syria 🙀. Aid has been dispatched to help the affected.
