Happy Sunday 🎉, happy holidays and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. So glad that you stopped by yet again 👏. Am really grateful for this day and before it ends we will quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending news. You know how we do it daily, so let's get cracking 💨.
Just like yesterday, it was an early start with the fast paced morning session. I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze 🍃 as I brisk walked 👣 and jogged around the cloudy neighborhood. A short but enjoyable walk 💯.
Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze. Just like yesterday, it's raining out there tonight.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
Globally, all eyes 👀 on Gaza as Israel continued it's unrelenting bombings. In one of them at least 30 Palestinians killed in an airstrike on Jabaliya refugee camp🙀. The total death toll has hit 19000😭.
Also trending, desperate crowds in Rafa rushed to grab humanitarian aid as trucks arrived at the crossing🙀. People are beginning to starve; UN says hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are without clean water, food and shelter😿.
Meanwhile, France has called for immediate ceasefire in Gaza. French foreign minister is on a visit to Israel has said that too many civilians have been killed.
In Tel Aviv, protests by families of captives kept going. Families worried about their kin who are being held hostage in Gaza 😿 and anger over the three killed the other day .
US secretary of defense Austin Lloyd also began his visit to the middle east starting of in Kuwait.
In Europe, the Pope was celebrating his 87th birthday, asking Christians to celebrate Jesus' birth💯.
Across the pond in the US, senate republican Lindsey graham praised Joe Biden's efforts to normalize Saudi/Israeli relations. He added, Israel will have to accept a two state solution to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia. Arab states will not normalize with Israel if they are seen as throwing Palestinians under the bus.
Finally, global shipping companies have suspended operations in red sea following attacks on commercial vessels🙀. Houthi fighters have claimed responsibility for targeting ships especially those headed to Israel.
