Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊, the very last Tuesday of January. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. There's hot debate on the govt's controversial new house tax that was blocked by court of appeal.
Globally, another horrendous day I. Gaza as 114 Palestinians were killed and 249 injured in the latest isreali air strikes😭.
There's bombardment in the south and also central Gaza. Israeli forces stormed Al Amal hospital in Khan Younis🙀.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to end the war are underway. US national security advisor Jake Sullivan met with Qatari officials in Florida. Qatar is mediating the peace proposal.
The proposal follows talks in Paris between Qatar and intelligence chiefs of US, Israel and Egypt. However, Hamas wants a full ceasefire and withdrawal of Israel forces from Gaza. Meanwhile, isreali PM Netanyahu, says he will not take military out of Gaza until it's objectives are achieved🙀.
Not far off, Pakistan trending as former prime minister Imran Khan wad sentenced to ten years in jail for revealing govt secrets🙀. A charge he has called bogus and politically motivated😹. He is already in jail for corruption charge. Someone is out to keep him there and bury his political future.
Finally, farmers protest movement erupts in Europe. After France yesterday, Belgian farmers today blocked the second largest port 🙀.
Farmers are angry at rising costs, cheap imports and EU agricultural policies.
