Happy Thursday 🎉,happy new month and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. Hopefully you are enjoying or enjoyed your day. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So today I had a wonderful brisk morning walk in the amazing fresh air. Then I was back indoors for a little bit of daily chores. Then later catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. I did enjoy the cool evening breeze 🍃 and beautiful sunset. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Gaza trending as another day of relentless bombing unfolded in the south and central regions. More than 150 Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours😿. The death toll since October 7 has now touched 27,000😭.
Also trending are allegations of beatings and torture of Palestinians arrested by isreali military. They are giving chilly ordeals of what they have been through🙀. Israel has been accused of gross mistreatment of Palestinians and contravening international laws.
In the occupied west bank, Israeli settlers have been attacking Palestinians more frequently since October 7 🙀.
This has prompted president Biden to sign an executive order targeting Israeli settlers who attack Palestinians. He approved sanctions on four settlers accused of attacking Palestinians.
Let's go to Europe, Brussels trending as EU leaders agreed on $54 billion funding package for Ukraine.🎊.
Meanwhile, outside the parliament buildings farmers were out protesting, lighting fires 🔥 and doing the most😹. They are protesting cheap imports, high costs and stringent EU regulations that's leaving them mostly in loss😿.
Across the pond in the US, the secretary of defense Austin Lloyd has apologized for secretive hospital stay😹. He was under treatment for prostate cancer. I talk more on cancer next.
He said the US would respond to attacks that killed 3 of its servicemen at its Jordanian airbase. He warned Iran against supplying the houthis with arms used in red sea attacks.
Finally, the world health organization predicts new cancer cases to soar 77% by 2050🙀. There were 20 million new cancer cases in 2022, more than 35 million new cases predicted by 2050. Don't be a statistic, keep moving, reduce stress, eat unprocessed food, remove seed oils and sugar. Hopefully by 2050 someone will have come up with a cure💯.
