Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. It is indeed a blessing to be alive💯.Thank you for being here and let's get cracking 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out walking in the hills. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
Some interesting games in the EPL especially that one between manchester united and Liverpool😹.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹,
Globally, another horrendous day in Gaza as the fighting and airstrikes continued in the south city of Rafa and central gaza😿.
92 deaths reported in the past 24 hours🙀. Overall the death toll is at 31,645 civilians gone😭. UNRWA warning of looming famine if food aid keeps being delayed.
In Tel Aviv the protests kept going. PM Netanyahu has said no amount of international pressure will stop Israel from achieving all the goals of the war🙀.
This after the US, EU, UK and several other countries have warned against a ground invasion in Rafa. The US had said civilians should be protected before such a move.
Also trending, German chancellor Olaf Scholz met PM Netanyahu for discussions.
Let's go to Europe, Ireland trending as they celebrate St Patrick's day🎉🎊, it's gonna be green everywhere 😻☘️☘️☘️.
Across the pond in the US, many Irish Americans have turned against Biden over Gaza war🙀. A series of protests on St Patrick's day points to the threat Biden faces from the loss of a key vote in swing states.
Also trending EU commission president Ursula Von deLeyen was in Egypt visiting president El Sisi. They signed an 8 billion euro deal. This for the supply of energy to the EU and also funds to help Egypt deter illegal immigration into Europe.
In Russia exit polls are showing Putin had won the election by garnering 87% of the vote 😹, just as expected.
In crazy weather, a state of emergency declared in Iceland as volcano 🌋 erupted spewing red hot lava, people had to be evacuated from the area🙀. Things will be fine, all's well that ends well 💯.
