Happy hump day😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I know you are wondering what happened to my Actifit posts lately. Well, the app just died on me. I woke up on a Saturday and I tried opening the app but it just kept flushing, I couldn't log in anymore. I have been uninstalling and installing the app several times but I still can't log in. Am yet to be told what kind of bug that is. I got a new phone and still I can't log into the app. The app installs well from the playstore and I put in my log in credentials and it gets stuck right there; may be some of you tech savvy guys can let me know what's happening?
Anyways, I have been getting my walks on everyday, the faster walk in the morning and the slow paced one in the evenings. Nothing has changed and I plan to continue posting until the app issue is resolved. I feel like I wanna share how my day has been and also some of the trending stories. I have gotten used to it and from today will continue. It will be my daily diary of the happenings in my life and the world around me.
So what trending today. Locally we were voting in the general election yesterday. A sense of tension as counting is underway with two leading contenders neck to neck😱. Political shenanigans😹 as some prominent politicians lost their seats as some of the results keep trickling in. However , in these election the turn out was low at 63 percent, seems that people are not so keen on politics. Some are probably sick of the same old politicians with their fake promises😹. Anyways we keep waiting for a new president to be declared sometime this week.
Globally, lots happening as usual. The fighting still going on in Ukraine. Russia bombed some town, I don't remember the name. Then in another town there's fear of a nuclear disaster in that damaged nuclear facility that the Russians seized😱. Lets hope all will be well.
Trending in the US, a member of the Iranian revolutionary guards has been charged in the US with a plot to assassinate former national security adviser John Bolton. He offered to pay 300K for the murder😱. Elsewhere, former president Trump pleaded the fifth and refused to answer any questions in regard to his family businesses😹. The New York AG has been after him for shady practices.
Over in crypto land BTC is at $23,971.50, subtly bullish today. This may be probably from the news in the US. Inflation could be cooling down as figures released today showed the consumer price index or CPI growth slowed, it was 8.5%, lower than expected👏.
