Si te gusta la conducción o las carreras de carros, no debes dejar de ver Initial D, el mejor anime que toca ese tema, enfocado en carreras urbanas. Ese anime basado en un manga también famoso ya terminó hace varios años; sin embargo, ha salido un manga que es la continuación del mismo, con otros personajes y tras varios años después del final, MF Ghost. Ha salido hace poco la adaptación animada de este manga, tiene como director a Tomohito Naka y desarrollado por Felix Film.
If you like driving or car racing, you should not miss Initial D, the best anime that touches that topic, focused on urban racing. This anime based on a famous manga also ended several years ago; however, a manga has been released that is the continuation of it, with other characters and several years after the end, MF Ghost. Sinopsis: Kanata Livington es un piloto que vuelve a Japón tras graduarse en su escuela de pilotos de carreras en Inglaterra. El decide participar en un torneo local de carreras de autos; sin embargo, su propósito real de su viaje a Japón, es encontrar a su padre desaparecido.
Synopsis: Kanata Livington is a pilot who returns to Japan after graduating from racing driver school in England. He decides to participate in a local car racing tournament; however, his real purpose of his trip to Japan, is to find his missing father.
A diferencia del manga/anime anterior, Initial D, esta vez tendremos carreras con un carácter más profesional, a la vez que ya no serán duelos, sino carreras con muchos participantes a la vez, permitiendo el desarrollo de variados personajes, que manejan distintas marcas de carros, como Lamborghini, Ferraris, Lotus, etc.
Unlike the previous manga/anime, Initial D, this time we will have races with a more professional character, while they will no longer be duels, but races with many participants at the same time, allowing the development of various characters, who drive different brands of cars, such as Lamborghini, Ferraris, Lotus, etc.
Aparte de ver las distintas carreras y las grandes habilidades del personaje principal, se desarrollan otras tramas vinculadas al romance y a la búsqueda del padre de Kanata. Esto le da dinamismo. Eso sí, el foco son las carreras, en donde el despliegue animado hace un buen trabajo.
Apart from seeing the different races and the great skills of the main character, other plots linked to romance and the search for Kanata's father are developed. This gives it dynamism. Of course, the focus is on the races, where the animated display does a good job.
El gran punto malo, es que acaba sintiéndose muy corto, ya que solo tiene 12 episodios, a espera de una nueva temporada deja las tramas abiertas.
The big bad point is that it ends up feeling very short, since it only has 12 episodes, waiting for a new season leaves the plots open.
La música es un punto bueno, con el clásico eurobeat de la franquicia, destaca el opening Jungle Fire. El modelado 3D hace un buen trabajo para los distintos carros.

Si te gustan las carreras de autos, primero te recomiendo Initial D, pero si quieres algo más moderno, este título es bueno.

I can already see that this anime deals with racing from a more professional point of view than Initial D and that the romance and personal life plot takes quite a leading role as well, you can tell it's quite complete.
Ya veo que este anime trata el tema de las carreras desde un punto de vista más profesional que Initial D y que la trama de romances y vida personal toma un papel bastante protagónico también, se nota que es bastante completo.

My skin crawled at the scene where the main character did the drift and everyone immediately thought of Takumi. I haven't finished Initial D yet but I need to hurry up and watch this.
