Started building gate door, testing the 12V DC pump, volunteering in the installation of solar hot water pipe lines and system
Dear friends,
Yesterday, I started building gate door for my land plot. I have finished the other frame for the door.
Then, I tested the solar water pump using 400W 12 V power supply. I have tested with five sprinkling heads and found that the pump pressure worked well for the five heads. I intended to install fifteen sprinkling heads for one pump. I think it would be alright for the fifteen heads; it would be alright if all the fifteen plants received some dripping water (the worst scenario) .
I intended to run one pump motor for fifteen avocado plants and let's say I will run the pump half an hour a day. Because it is an 180 W pump, with the 12 V power supply, it will consume 15 ampere. I will install two pumps so the total ampere would be around 30 amp and I think one 60 Amp Hour battery should suffice for both pumps to run 30 mins a day each. And for charging the battery, I could use 100 W solar panel with a controller. This is just an estimate and I will calculate again before the installation. And in the afternoon, I went to the meditation center and volunteered in the installation of solar water heater system. I helped drilled holes for the pipes with my equipment I took from my home. I had to use hole saw for tiles first and then, a long hole to penetrate the wall.
Below is the building, I was helping to install the water heater system. Actually, the heater pipelines should have been installed when building this resting house.
It was a tiring activities for yesterday afternoon. And those are most of the activities for yesterday.

You have 15 avocado plants? that's great, I did an experiment and planted one, it has already grown and I have to transplant it to a bigger pot, but as I don't have a yard I'm not sure if it can grow well and give me avocados someday.
I don't have them yet . I will grow 30 plants before this raining season and I intended to supply water to them with plastic pipes with two pumps. I am preparing and testing the system I will use. I think it take at least three to five years to get the fruits. So, it will take long.
For one avocado plant 15x15ft plot should suffice I think. Thanks for comment.
