My Actifit Report Card: July 12 2025

Dear Friends,

I was not feeling well in previous days and was not able to post in Actifit. And yesterday, I began to recover, and, I did some yard work. I installed the meshes to the fence and now, I had finished installing fence to for the dogs. I just need to paint them when it is sunny. The installation work took me the whole morning.

Another yard work I did was burning leaves and bushes using the burner barrel. I was able to burn dry as well as semi dry leaves and bushes with it. I just burnt those I could not make compost. I have two barrells for making compost and those in one of them is ready to use now. I think I may need yo sieve them before use.

In the evening, I began to build a proximity switch. It was a microwave sensor and can detect human motion. I found it didn't get mistriggered like infrared sensor. The proximity switch I used is HB100 and the specs says it can detect up to 20 meter but I found the distance to be shorter. I used it to trigger a relay and let it open for two minutes using a microcontroller esp8266. It is now used to switch on an electric mosquitto repellent because I usually forget to swhich it off when I leave my room.

Those are some of the activities for yesterday.
