He's my favorite player to (and I've only been to Houston for 2 hours), just for what he had to overcome to get a chance and then to be an all star. Maeda was hanging sliders so that fast ball had to be outside. I was a pitcher myself but anyone can watch and see how often they dislocate. Even the great Bob Gibson needed to locate, and Rivera made a H of F career out of one location. Maddox too.
