genuinely acknowledging my efforts or kind gesture with kind loving words and words of encouragement even in the absence of gift means more to me

This was a great point. It made realize that it's true, just feeling, or knowing, that someone else acknowledges what we do is kind of nice. It's like sometimes being seen and valued feels so much better than receiving a gift

I equally encourage, compliment, show care and buy gift depending on what they prefer, as an expression of affection

This was so good, and sometimes it's difficult to find the right way to show affection to someone, especially if they are not someone that tells you openly.
