En la última semana, los que seguimos el béisbol hemos sido testigo de lo que es batear el ciclo o la escalera (Hit, Doble, Triple y Home-run), en un post del amigo @fermionico titulado “Escalera al cielo” queda plasmado su pluma analítica de lo que representa esta hazaña, es complicado y se debe tener un poco de suerte, para que tengan una idea se han registrado 330 desde la primera vez en el año 1882.

Second, for this to happen, the player has to have at least 3 of the 5 tools, contact, speed and strength. Third has to be a hit or hit without any ascending or descending order in the game.

Mi post de hoy va dedicado a los 6 venezolanos que han logrado esta hazaña, incluyendo a Luis Arráez, algo que me llamo la atención de estos 6 venezolanos es que 5 son bateadores, son zurdos, Luis Arráez, (Marlins 2023), Carlos Guillen (Tigres de Detroit, 2006) Pablo Sandoval (Gigantes de San Francisco, 2011), Carlos González (Rockies de Colorados 2010), Eduardo Escobar (Mets de Nueva York 2022) y uno derecho Cesar Tovar (Mellizos de Minnesota 1972).
