How Many Abans Showrooms did I Visit Today? : Actifit Report Card: June 11 2022

It's Saturday again! The weekend is the only time I can spend going out to buy stuff we need for our house. There are things that my input is significant when selecting things. Those visits are happening on Saturdays.

Today is scheduled to buy basic things needed for the kitchen pantry. As we needed to finish the pantry top tiling, we needed to fix the burner and sinks. Actually, during the initial house structure build, we had put a concrete top for the pantry. Due to this, we weren't able to use granite. Hence we wanted to buy some tiles for the pantry top. Most importantly we needed a gas hob and a hood.

Before we go, we gathered information about a proper brand. Most people said that Elba is a promising brand. It is an Italian brand that has quality fishing and safety. We wanted a black color one which fits our planned design. With the cooker, we also needed a cooker hood, which takeout the smell and gases out of the kitchen. So our initial plan was to buy a black Elba cooker + a cooker hood. We found that Abans is the seller in SL for Elba.

First, we visited buyabans.com the online showroom for Abans. Actually, I am impressed this site has actual stocks they have. We picked some good cookers and saved their URLs.

Ambalangoda Abans

We started from the nearest Abas showroom in Ambalangoda. There were only two cookers. One had a glass top and the other one was stainless steel back one, but actually, there was no induction cooker burner there. We asked their support to check the availability of the products we need. They had a good system in which you can see the availability of products in each branch. So they informed us that the cooker hood is available in the Uragaha branch and the hob is not available. Later we realized that there was a typing mistake when searching gas hob product code. They helped us to reserve the item from Uragasmanhandiya Branch.

Aluthgama Abans

As we wanted to buy tiles as well, we traveled to Aluthgama. So we got into Abans Elite showroom at Aluthgama to have a look. There were also some gas hobs in different brands, Elba and Abans brands. Here also we asked them to check whether any hobs available under the product code we needed. Finally, they said that there are two remaining in Panadura Abans! We did the payment to the Aluthgama branch and went to Panadura to collect it.

After walking here and there to purchase the rest of the stuff, we came to the Panadura Branch. We double-check the product and yes it was what we were looking for. Happy we turned back.

Kauthara Abans

We stopped by Kaluthara Abans to checkout whether there are any cooker hoods available. There was an Elba one and Abans one. The Abans one wasn't the kind we expected. The Elba one was an expensive model than the one we reserved in Uragara branch.

Uragasmanhandiya Abans

After walking 4 Abans showrooms and 2 singer showrooms, finally we came to our final destination. Actually, the customer assistance of this branch welcomed us :) Because they already knew that we are coming and they were looking forward to seeing us since the morning. Finally, we purchase the cooker hood as well. We didn't spend too much on the hood as we already spent a lot on the hob.

It was a tiring day but it was fun walking with him and also driving with him.
