Drawing Similarities between Chess and the World of Cryptocurrency
The strategic game of chess is one that is close to my heart. Ever since I was 10 years old I started playing the game competitively. Over time this sport and hobby has helped me develop the ability to always think at least a few moves ahead in important situations, if not all of them. This has been quite handy over the years and has helped me carefully plot out major decisions in life, including decisions with cryptocurrency. Now that doesn't mean that I haven't made the obligatory noob decisions every now and then. Of course you have to lose a bit of your money FOMO-ing into an obvious pump and dump scheme. And if you haven't, do you even trade bro?
Combining the concepts of chess and crypto in my head, I started thinking. Can we draw similarities between the two? With the board as the decentralized playing field filled with controversy, pros and cons, both black and white, we can assign each piece a personality within the world of cryptos.
The obvious one would be the queens of the crypto game, which are the whales that can move anywhere on the board due to the immense power they possess. The queens are only limited by those that block their way, but not for long, as they have the ability to move in each direction however far they want. Then there's the pawns, the commoners of the game. Those can only move forward bit by bit, with the slight potential of someday promoting to queen and becoming whales themselves. With that hope they keep moving forward.
We can place the rooks and bishops of our chess crypto comparison into the category of people who have one specific ability which they are very good at. This is because they can go in all directions however far they want, but only horizontally or vertically in the rook's case, and diagonally for the bishops. One could argue that the difference is that the bishops, being limited to only one color on the board, are either completely morally good or morally corrupt, there is no in between for them.
An unethical bishop would be someone who shills shitcoins or pumps and dumps, effectively manipulating the market in their favor. And I guess a good one would be the wholesome crypto evangelist who is all about the technology and the future potential of cryptocurrency in society.
The knights are those guys that try to precisely calculated everything. This can make them one of the strongest most cunning pieces in the game, but it's a double-edged as they are limited by their own weird way of making moves.
And then there's the king. I think we should all strive to be kings in the world of magical internet money. The king knows he is limited by just one step, but he can take that step in any direction he wants. With the right amount of knowledge through research, that's all you need in cryptocurrency. Slowly, but surely, you will be able to navigate around the board and reach your goals, always avoiding that pesky checkmate.
That being said, all pieces play a role in the game of chess, as do all personality types in the game crypto. What matters is the strategy and your approach to it all.
So, which piece are you?

Right now, I feel like I'm probably a pawn more than anything, but I hope to become a white space Bishop soon enough, maybe a King or even a Queen one of these days... Till then, I'm happy being a little pawn, just pressing onwards with hopes and dreams!
With the right amount of research and experience you can even promote to King, contrary to actual chess where this is not allowed. 😅

As I'm still learning the ins and outs, I'll consider myself a pawn 😅.
What an analogy, !LUV

Fun fact: pawns are also the shortest pieces.

Given the current emission rate of LUV pushing 500/day, increases to required LUV levels will likely be forthcoming.
😩🤣🤣

Very cool analysis! This is actually what people shouuld come up when it comes to the game of chess I mean, it is not only a game, it is the real life. The thinking process that we use when we figure out our next move it is similar to the way you make up your mind. And the good thing is you do not have to be an expert to enjoy and make the most of it.
The best part about it is that is has thought me to think steps ahead. Subconsciously I always start looking at different scenarios in my head depending on what choices I would make.
If I have kids, they're definitely going to be nudged a bit towards chess. Even if not as pro sport, but just as a basic life lesson.
