Alright, I have gone very quiet for a long time because... well, life got me and I was busy. Also, had some negative experience in PeakD previously but hey, got to give it another shot. Hopefully, things are better after the long pause!

Alright, so I recently have been hooked to NBA and Soccer, and wanted to earn at the same time. So I was very coincidentally introduced to Sorare, a crypto NFT fantasy sports game. I do not play a lot of crypto games, as I am concern that the project may fail and my capital gone. But hey, this is turning out pretty well. Sorare have been around since 2019, and it seems to be getting more and more players on board.

Is it stable?

Well, as mentioned previously Sorare have launched since 2019, even before Splinterlands (2021) which is also one of my favourites! For a project to last so long, it is good!

More interestingly, I have no idea how they did it but they have collaborations with the biggest organisations in the industry. For Baseball (which unfortunately I do not play as I really cannot understand), they collaborated with Major League Baseball (MLB). For Basketball, they collaborated with NBA. For Soccer, my goodness where do I even start. They have big names such as EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, and so on. To be exact, they have partnered with 312 licensed teams. 312, I do not even have $312 in my bank and they are able to partner so many teams!

What does it mean? It means that we are able to buy NFTs of players themselves, and not those make believe kind (you know those that have players with similar names for some reasons). So for instance, look at this. This is a NFT of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander that I own, the MVP for the previous year. Though he is really expensive to acquire I swear, sold my kidney for it...

Gameplay Mechanics

So in a nutshell, basically you buy NFTs of your players, and field them, just like any other fantasy sports games. But yes, you would need capital to buy your first few NFTs you are right...

Depending on how recent your players are (if they are this season or previous season), they will be eligible for different categories. And for these different categories, if your players do well, you will be able to earn one or more of the following

1. Cash (Pounds/Euros) or Crypto (Eth)
2. NFT Cards
3. Essence (Which is used to craft NFT Cards)
4. Experience Points (Which allows you to increase the level of your NFT Cards so that they have higher bonus points)

Over the next few days or weeks, I will be sharing more about Sorare with everyone. This is a game I play daily now, more than Splinterlands. Would be glad to have more people to join me in this.
