Sorare with Rayius - Preview into Sorare NBA
So today, let us talk about NBA. As mentioned in my initial post, Sorare supports 3 types of sports namely Soccer, Basketball and Baseball. Of these 3, I only play 2 of them, which is Soccer and Basketball.
Now today, let us talk about Basketball shall we? For NBA, the coverage is the regular season and the playoffs! Regular season dates are end October to mid April, followed by the playoffs which ends in June. So in a year, July August September these 3 months are excruciatingly boring, cause there will be no matches.
So in a nutshell, there are 2 types of competitions, which are daily as well as biweekly. Basically, playing is the same for both daily and biweekly. Daily happens once every day, whereas biweekly have twice in a week.
Every player will have a score, and that score is tagged to the recent performances of the player. So if the player have been doing well lately, the score will be high. This score is basically the "resource" or "mana" to use it. There is a specific cap for how much points you can use for the entire lineup of 5 players. So if you use too many star players, the remaining would likely be having low points and not very efficient players. In short, it is really about the balance.
How are points calculated? There are positive points awarded for positive actions, and negative points for negative actions. Below is a list.
Points Scored: 1
Rebounds: 1.2
Assists: 1.5
Steals: 3
Blocks: 3
Double Double: 1
Triple Double: 1
3 Pointer Made: 1
Turnovers: -2
While defensive actions award more points, but realistically in a match you will not see too many of defensive actions, but tons of positive actions.
So after inputting your lineup, you are good to go. You will now compete with tons of other players who have input their lineups, and fight for glory!!!
For biweekly, many a times there will be more than 1 match that the players have played. So if there are more than 1 match within that period, the highest score among the matches played will be taken.
Winner will be the one with the highest points, simple as that. The higher the number of points earned, the better your rank and thus, the more attractive the rewards!
