Historical Palace

What a night it was for Crystal Palace! Their FA Cup triumph over Manchester City was nothing short of historic. They have always had a bit of a hoodoo over City, and this result just cements that status. Even in their last Premier League meeting, it took City clawing back from two goals down to earn a point. But this time, Palace didn’t let up. This group of players will be remembered for a long time in Selhurst Park folklore - they’ve etched their names into history.

Eberechi Eze continues to shine like a star born for the big stage. His calmness on the ball, vision, and technical brilliance were all on display. Mateta has found form at just the right time, and Munoz, along with a few others, put in performances worthy of silverware. Honestly, if the transfer vultures start circling in the summer, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised. Palace have not just played good football, they’ve played brave, intelligent football with flair and grit. Oh.. Also, Munoz and Mateta have been great additions to my FPL this season. Eze was in for a while but had to sell him when he was not returning the numbers before his recent turn of form. Not been able to accommodate him since then. Maybe on the final GW.

As for Pep Guardiola, yes, he’s a serial winner, but the way he reacts to defeat can be frustrating to watch. There’s a difference between being competitive and being a sore loser. His cold reaction to Dean Henderson trying to shake hands says a lot. You can lose with dignity. He’s won enough to know how to take one on the chin. A bit of humility in moments like this would go a long way.

Well, let me famz a bit, South London is still London. COYL😉
Well done Palace.
