Three points, Lesson Learnt, On To The Next.

I’ll be honest, Arsenal didn’t really impress me against Manchester United yesterday. We looked off the pace for large parts of the match, but in football, what matters most is the scoreboard and we walked away with the three points. That’s huge in a big game like this.

One thing that’s becoming obvious is how opponents will set up against us. United clogged up the midfield, and it really disrupted our flow. We’ve got to figure out how to break through those kinds of setups, because more teams will definitely try the same trick this season.

Still, there were some positives. For me, Zubimendi was absolutely brilliant. The guy was calm on the ball, smart in his positioning, and played with a maturity that stood out. I can already see him being a key figure for us this season.

On the flip side, I wasn’t happy with the refereeing. Too many fouls against us were just waved away, and it felt like the decisions leaned against Arsenal. Thankfully, it didn’t end up changing the result, but it’s something that needs to be called out.

All in all, it wasn’t a performance to rave about, but three points in the bag is what matters. The team can work on the gaps, and we move forward with confidence. Next challenge, bring it on!

Manchester United was the better side, but at the end it is the three points that matters the most and Arsenal got it.
