My Actifit Report Card: July 5 2025
I was supposed to go to the city early for an appointment, but when I turned on the car, it wouldn’t start. I saw a red, flickering battery icon on the panel display. After 4 years since purchasing the car, the battery finally gave up! So sad! 😱 I had to cancel my appointment and call a car battery delivery service.
Since I love Japan, I chose the Yokohama brand (it also helped that I love Yokohama Ieke Ramen, nainsert pa jud lol). Good thing they offer free delivery and installation. The technician arrived around noon. Funny that he asked me to open the hood so he could start the installation, but I just froze. I had no idea how to do it! Damn, I’m really not a car person. I only know how to start the car, stay in my lane, and try not to get into an accident. I don’t even use most of the features in my car. I just stick to the basics.
So the technician opened the hood for me, and I just watched him install the new battery. He said it should last 2–3 years. For the hefty price of ₱8,300, I guess that’s fair enough. After he finished, I tried starting the car and it worked!
But then 5 fault warnings suddenly showed up on the panel display.
I had no clue what they meant, so I called the casa. The technician there said I need to bring the car in because the system needs to be rebooted. When the battery was fully drained, it disconnected the system.
Now, being clueless about cars, I’m honestly scared to drive it with those 5 fault warnings flashing. The next available appointment at the casa is on Monday. They can’t accommodate me today, and tomorrow (Sunday) they’re closed. So I have no choice, my weekend plans are totally ruined! I’m frustrated, stressed, and honestly worried that my car is starting to deteriorate 😰Wala nakoy milyones pang cash og new car intawn maawa!😫
This year (my 4th year owning it) is when I’ve started experiencing issues. First, last May 2025, I got caught by CITOM because I didn’t know one of my headlights wasn’t working. And now this battery issue. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I’m really concerned especially because my sister, who is more knowledgeable about cars, is about to leave for work abroad this month. I’ll have to deal with everything car-related on my own from now on. Scary times ahead for me. Huhuhuhu 😭😭😭
Because of this car-related stress, I immediately went into stress-eating mode and didn’t have the energy to work out. Still, I managed to put in 15k steps at the last minute—katong nahimasmasan na ko sa akong mga kalagot sa kinabuhi. Haaayzt.
