My Actifit Report Card: October 2 2025
Today I’m excited because it’s my last workday of the week since I’ll be taking an offset leave tomorrow. Since my sister has classes starting at 7:30 AM, she won’t be able to take me to the nearest station in the morning. Instead, she’ll drop me off today at 5 PM, and I’ll be staying overnight in Okayama City. No worries though as I’ve already found some overnight options. 😜
But first, let me share some pictures I took this morning during a 3KM walk in Kibichuo town. The streets were completely quiet, with hardly any people around. My sister had asked me to drop the garbage bag at the designated bin for collection, so after doing that, I decided to explore the town a little further.
As I walked and looked around at the scenery, I really felt some Ghibli vibes, like the movies I’ve seen had come to life right in front of me. It was such an amazing feeling, almost unbelievable. Next week, I plan to walk a little more and discover more of this charming little town.
Fast forward to 6 PM, my sister dropped me off at a small station called Kanagawa Station. The train schedule to Okayama City runs every hour, so since we arrived 30 minutes early, I had to wait for a while. This area is already at the border of Okayama City, which is why it’s reachable by train.
Kibichuo is a lovely town, but it can be a bit inconvenient since you always need to drive to get things done. I think I like the Kanagawa area more because it’s close and accessible to Okayama City while still keeping that peaceful countryside vibe.
I arrived at Okayama City around 7 PM, and the first thing on my list was to walk along the Nishigawa Canal, which is just a short walk from Okayama Station. It turned out to be a long walk along the canals, but I had such a lovely time. I really love the vibe here.
I’m planning to return tomorrow morning to see how the canals look in the daylight. At night, it feels so romantic, perfect for couples to enjoy a date while walking along the water. I’m excited to explore more of Okayama tomorrow!
