Decide and Make Your Move Fast For Self Defense (Self Defense Situation # 155)

What you decide to do at that moment, that can change the whole situation. You see what's coming, but if you do not do anything, you are giving the attacker opportunity to attack you. Probably, the attacker will not change his/her mind if he/she is about to attack you. It is you who have to take action.

If you do not do anything, that means maybe you are not aware of the situation and don't know what's coming or maybe you are afraid or maybe you are confused. Whatever the season is, you need to stop the attacker.

Welcome back to Self Defense Situation # 155.

Every situation is different and you cannot fit one thing in every situation. What works in one situation, that might not work in another situation. When you fight for self-defense, your move should be based on the situation.

If you have the option to talk, you can talk to the attacker. Unfortunately, sometimes you see you have no time to talk, and the attacker is going to attack you. Let's watch this video and talk about this in context.

The woman is sitting in the shopping mall while the attacker is getting close to her. The attacker's expression and body language clearly show she is going to attack that woman. When we talk about self-defense, it is not just all about blocking and parry. Attacking is the best defense, of course, that's based on the situation.

It might sound harsh but when the attacker shows power and dominance, thinks other people are weak enough that they cannot do anything, the good option is to show he/she is wrong. And when you make your move and strike to defend yourself, the attacker will understand that he/she messes up with the wrong person.

The woman on the floor (in the video) did something, that's awesome. She saw the attacker was coming towards her, she stood up from the seated position. When the attacker was about to strike her, she hit first and did not give her any chance. This is something that the attacker did not expect and she definitely messed up with the wrong woman.

If you sit somewhere and you see the attacker is going to attack you, it is better to stand up. It is not that you cannot do something from a seated position, but you have more options when you stand up. Observe, decide, and make your move fast. Otherwise, you will not be able to defend yourself.
