How To Position Yourself To Defend Against Multiple Attackers

There is one attacker. You can see him and you only have to focus on him to defend yourself. If the fight starts, you can stand in a fight stance and fight. You have a lot of options when you are dealing with one attacker. How about if there are multiple attackers?

How would you position yourself to fight and defend against multiple attackers?

It is more difficult and challenging when you fight with multiple attackers. While you are strike and fighting with one attacker, the other attackers can hit you easily from another side. And if your complete focus is on one attacker, you have no idea what another attacker is doing. You are vulnerable.

When you talk to the guys who can attack you, pay attention to how they stand and your position. You can control the position while talking and that can make it difficult to attack you at the same time.

The worst thing is when one attacker is behind you. You don't know what's going on behind your back and the attacker can do whatever he wants. Since you do not see him, you might not be able to defend his strikes.

So what's the ideal position to face multiple attackers?

If you can keep one attacker behind another attacker, that's a really good position. You can see them, attack the one who is in front of you. Since another attacker is behind the first attacker, he cannot attack you from there. You can deal with them like one by one.

You can think of it as a straight line. But the thing is, you might not get and do what you expect. When you fight with multiple attackers, at least, keep them in front of you. Do not let them go behind you. You can move in a circle and change your position. You can use the distance to your advantage while fighting.

When you are being attacked, the attacker usually puts you in a vulnerable position where they have the advantage. The quicker you can adapt to the situation, the better. In case you get the chance to escape from there, just get out of there. You do not have to stand there and fight forever until you become a winner. This is not a fighting match. If you get out of there and stay safe, that's all that matters.

Good one but the attackers being more violent these days so it is better to avoid the situations. If cannot be avoidable do what they ask, if you are not professional- do not engage ( my opinion).

Safety first, so follow this.

If you can avoid the fight, that's always better. Safety for yourself always comes first even when you fight. Thank you @mustavi for your feedback!
