Pick Up Something That Can Be Used As A Weapon

If someone has a knife, what could be the best defense? Well, the attacker has a weapon, do you have anything that could be used as a weapon? For example, you have a gun. You can point your gun at the attacker who has a knife, the next thing you see the attacker finds a way to get out of there.

Let's see a real-life example. You are at the store, maybe you are an employee or owner. A robber comes and is about to draw his weapon. Let's see what the store clerk did in this situation.

When he saw the man was drawing his weapon, he put his hand on the robber's wrist, the robber moved his hand back. The store clerk quickly pulled his gun and pointed at the robber. The robber moved back and got out of there.

Having the weapon and timing give the clerk advantage. In case the store clerk does not have anything to use as a weapon, the robber will have the advantage. Again if the clerk is not fast enough to draw his weapon on time, the robber could rob easily.

In order to defend yourself when you see your life is in danger, you need to make the decision fast. If you have anything like a stick, umbrella, even pen, that could be used as an improvised weapon. It is a good idea to use something as a weapon to defend yourself. If you don't have anything at that moment, you have to fight with your bare hands.

Quick decision to make your move can work like a magic. You see someone is about to attack you. If you can strike him fast and disarm his weapon, that can be better. If it's too late, giving the attacker what he wants can save you for the time being. But again if the attacker intends to hurt you, he can still do so. So you need to keep your eyes open and if things change, you have to adapt and make your move accordingly.
