An attacker can attack you in different ways. And if he is going to choke you, this is dangerous because if you do not respond quickly, you will have a big problem. When someone chokes you from behind with a rope, it puts pressure on your neck with a rope.

Welcome back to Self Defense Situation - Part 75. In this series of posts, we usually talk about different situations and what you can do to defend yourself and get back home safe.

Today we are going to talk about what you can do to defend yourself if someone chokes you from behind with a rope. Let's watch this video. This is not my video and all video credit goes to Nick Drossos.

From 2:16 to 3:37 Minutes

When someone chokes from behind, you usually do not see him doing that. If he has a rope, wire or something like that, he can use that to choke you. As soon as you feel or see the rope on your neck, turn your body and face the attacker.

If you stand there or try to move forward, it will put more pressure on your neck and this is not going to help you to escape the choke. In case you cannot breathe, it is going to be harder to make your move. So you have to make your move quickly.

When you turn your body and face the attacker, the pressure of the rope goes to the side of your neck. Now attack him. You can do palm strike, elbow strike, knee charge, hammer fist and so on. You have to strike the attacker and get rid of this.

Before the attacker gets up or some other attackers come to attack you, leave the place. You can call the police and inform them of what just happened.

So what would you do in this situation? Please feel free to let me know in the comment section. Thank you so much for reading this post.
