If you read this post, I'd like to thank you for reading this. Reading a post or watching a video will let you know what to do or what not to do for self defense. Whether you like it or not, the thing is, only reading a post or watching a video will not help you much for self defense unless you spend time on training.

Welcome back to Self Defense Situation - Part 68. In this series of posts, we usually talk about different situations and what you can do to defend yourself and get back home safe.

There is something that we hear over and over. So does that work? Or, what does it take to make that work for self defense. Let's watch this video. I'm going to mention the specific time. This is not my video and all video credit goes to hard2hurt.

Source and Video Credit

From 3:54 to 4:57 Minutes

Suppose, you have never punch before, so in a situation when someone is about to attack, you can punch him. But if you are not trained to punch, you might get hurt. When you are used to doing something, you can do it automatically without thinking about it. And that's what you need when you are under pressure and your life is in danger.

Do you think it is easy to kick certain parts of the body like a kick to the groin? I think you hear it over and over. If you think you will go close to the attacker and kick there, he will not stand there to get the kick. He can move and change his position.

You strike the attacker and he is close to you, you can kick him. Still, you need to practice how to kick. If you do not spend enough time on training, it does not feel natural for you to make your move when you are being attacked.

We always recommend learning martial arts or self defense from martial arts experts. You should practice over and over. What you learn in your training, you will find it useful to protect yourself.

Thank you so much for reading this. Hope it will help you in your journey of learning martial arts. Please feel free for sharing your thoughts in the comment section.

good read! better to be underestimated then overestimate in a fight, the best of all is to avoid fighting but then again I read a lot about the code of Bushido :)
