We will analyze the technique and try to learn more about it. When you practice martial arts, you learn many self defense techniques. Do you feel comfortable using those techniques for self defense?

Or, do you think some techniques are not useful?

But you practice that, you might not realize that. Maybe later or after a long time, you realize this is not that useful from self defense perspective.

I love and respect all martial artists. If sometimes I might not agree with someone about specific technique, it does not mean other techniques that shows are useless.

Let's watch this video. This video credit goes to the particular channel - Karate & Fitness Tutorial

Source and Video Credit

In the first technique, the opponent strikes, and he blocks, then grabs his opponent's hand to throw him on the ground. The way he grabs his opponent hand, that's good. But when you fight in real life, the attacker will not keep his hand after a strike.

The attacker will strike quickly and if you parry one strike, he will immediately do another strike. It looks good when you see and practice it. If your opponent moves his hand quickly, you will not be able to grab his hand.

So you might not find this technique that useful. What do you think about this? Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.

By the way, I do not understand the language that is spoken in the video. So don't know what he says about that technique.

You can use other techniques that you see in this video except the first one. Thank you so much for reading this post. Stay safe. Always be happy!
