The Problems You Face Fighting With A Taller Guy

You are tall, but your opponent is taller than you are. The attacker's height gives him some advantages. To strike and hit the attacker, you have to be in the attacking range. You can get out of attacking range as a defense.

When a taller attacker punches you, you can parry or block, and then you should go for the counter-attack. But if you punch him after defending his punches staying at the same distance, you might not be able to hit him. The attacker can reach and hit you since he is taller, but you cannot do that from there.

The height itself gives the taller attacker this advantage. Again when the attacker kicks, he can hit you, but being at the same distance you might not be able to hit him.

There are some attackers who punch and lean back when you punch him as a counter-attack. Again the taller attacker uses this to his advantage. Even you get in to punch him, he leans back, so you cannot hit him.

What can you do when the attacker leans back like this? Well, when the attacker leans back, you might not hit his upper part of the body. How about the lower part of his body? His legs are still there. You can kick his legs. His knees can be the target. You can also attack his foot, on the back of his lower legs.

Since he leans back, you can sweep his leg to make him lose his balance. When you strike him like that, his leaning back strategy will not work and you can fight to defend yourself.

I also think attacking where you can easily get hold off the taller opponent such as knees and legs are great targets to weaken the opponent.

Causing him to lose his balance will help greatly in you getting to lay more attacks and probably if he gets to go down.

Yes, the taller guy loses his balance and gets down, that's your advantage. You can attack him more at that moment and get out of there.

Yeah necessary to maximize any advantage. Also think taller guys have more probability to go the ground that average or shorter guys
