On Tuesday, 7th March 2023 Benfica and Chelsea were the first 2 teams to get through to the Quarterfinals of the tournament after Benfica defeated Club Brugge in a 5-1 victory at the home grounds of Benfica making it 7-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea on the other hand was the most surprising team after they produced a magical comeback at the Stamford Bridge Stadium, the home grounds of Chelsea in a 2-0 victory against Dortmund making it 2-1 on aggregate.

The competition continued on Wednesday 8th March 2023, as we witnessed Bayern München going toe to toe against one of the biggest clubs teams in Europe Paris Saint-Germain. There is a saying that “ When two strong men fight against each other, one will surely emerge as the winner”. Bayern München defeated PSG in a 2-0 victory at the Allianz Arena, the home grounds of Bayern making it 3-0 on aggregate.

On that same day, Tottenham hosted Ac Milan at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium which ended in a Goalless Draw, and Ac Milan qualified for the next round of the competition on a 1-0 aggregate against Tottenham.

On Tuesday 14th March 2023,
Fc Porto hosted inter Milan at the Estadio Do Dragao for which the two sides forget vibrantly well but ended up in a goalless draw inter Milan was the team to qualify for the next round in a 1-0 aggregate against Fc Porto.

These two sides weren’t the only teams playing on that day, Manchester City hosted RB Leipzig which later on turned out to be a nightmare for the away side as they considered seven goals in March, and Erling Haaland scored 5 goals making him the 3rd player to score 5 goals in the competition. The game against these two sides ended with a 7-0 victory to Manchester City making it 8-1 on aggregate.

On Wednesday 15th March 2023,
The most anticipated game of the evening kicked off as Real Madrid hosted Liverpool at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Liverpool was hoping to produce a memorable comeback but unfortunately, they failed and were beaten by a goal to nil 1-0 eliminating them from the competition and Madrid proceeding to the next round making it 6-2 on aggregate.

Napoli hosted Frankfurt on that same evening at the Stadio Diago Armando Maradona stadium where they defeated Frankfurt in a 3-0 victory and 5-0 on aggregate.
