Chelsea vs fluminese - A game I didn't expect to enjoy this much.

Yesterday's game between Chelsea and Fluminense honestly caught me off guard. I wasn’t even planning to watch it at first, but something just told me to tune in, and I’m glad I did. I mean, we all know preseason matches don’t always give that same kind of fire like a proper Premier League or Champions League night, but this one had something else. It was different, maybe cos of how the two teams approached it.

Chelsea came in with serious intent. You can feel Pochettino's hands in the way they're beginning to move the ball, even though it's still early days. That high pressing, the energy, the movement upfront, I liked it. Jackson and Nkunku was really linking up well, and Sterling actually looked hungry for once. I was shocked to see how sharp the boys looked this early.

Fluminense on the other hand, you gotta give them credit. They didn't come just to defend and watch Chelsea pass them around. They brought their own game. Some of those Brazilian touches and calm ball control, it made the game really enjoyable. They was patient, trying to find openings and not just panicking. That young midfielder they got, I think his name is Martinelli or something close to that, he impressed me a lot. The guy had good footwork and was calm under pressure.

One moment that really stood out for me was in the second half, when Chelsea scored that second goal. The build up was smooth and it looked like something straight out of training ground. I think it was Enzo Fernandez who gave the pass, and Jackson just slotted it in like it was nothing. Cool, calm and composed finish.

Fluminense pulled one back late in the game, and that added a bit of drama towards the end. Their fans were loud too, you could hear them from the stream, singing non stop like it was a final. I respect that kind of passion.

But overall, Chelsea looked the stronger side and deserved the win. There’s still a lot of work to be done before the season starts, but at least now I can say there's a little hope again. We suffered too much last season, abeg. But this new energy, if they keep this momentum going and stay injury free, then we might surprise people this season.

Anyway, it was a fun game, and I'm really glad I didn't skip it. This is the type of performance that makes you look forward to the next match. Up Blues always
