Polishing the Huffy BMX bars and stem - My Actifit Report Card: February 26 2024

avatar

It feels like rain, but it says 0 chance until Friday. I did some heavy lifting around the yard before doing the usual 7.5 mile bike ride.

I started cycling right before sunset and survived the journey in the dark. I need more light.

I drove out in the country to buy an old KMart All Pro 3 speed bicycle for a few bucks so I could rob the old wald stem hardware and seatpost and hardware for 80s USA Huffy. The early retail bmx mostly have 13/16” seatpost.

The 80s bmx bars and stem are polished and complete. The bike frame and fork still have shine with several places with severe rust. I spend 10 minutes a day polishing and rubbing through the rust.

I feel beat street, but the race continues all night. I don’t want to wait too long to post my report card, so I can live with a 17k count on today’s report card.

The youngest knows Huffy, Rampar, Specialized and Schwinn.

Best Wishes!

I remember those three speed bikes my friend!
I had a 26 inch three speed huffy that most people called an "English Huffy".
I put a lot of miles on that bike!!
Awesome 17K @actifit bike steps!!😄
