A cat and turkeys - My Actifit Report Card: May 9 2026
My best friend asked me if I wanted to go for a drive this afternoon.
I accepted, so I started walking down the road for more quality steps. My friend picked me up on the side of the road.
We drove up the southern side of our county where a Giant Sequoia orchard is owned by the county and not part of a national park.
We saw a few turkeys walking and I think I zoomed in on a few Giant Sequoia trees. Giant Sequoias only grow on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at 5000 feet elevation.
I walked home from my friend's house and I walked along train tracks that I walked almost daily when I was a kid.
Before the drive up to the mountains, I walked the neighborhood park and a park cat walked with me.
I'm still walking the house for more steps.

Looks and reads like a really nice and enjoyable day! Walking the tracks was always something I liked... Germany was full of active ones, but with time, a lot of them got deserted. And it was fun to just balance among them. Or lay pennies on them and wait for the train to flatten them.
