Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers has apologized for participating in the next edition of the PSL. De Villiers, 35, initially made his appearance for the league, according to a cricket website. He said that he has apologized for attending the PSL this year to handle the 'workload' and to avoid injury. Scoring 218 runs, they made it to a strike rate of 128.99 but the Lahore Qalandars team was once again ranked in the league. Ayers will now represent the Brisbane Hats in the Big Bash League and will be available for post-Christmas matches after which he will represent Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. On average, he has scored 8186 runs, including four centuries and 57 half-centuries. He has scored at a strike rate of 149.84. It is noteworthy that De Villiers retired from international cricket a year and a half ago. There have been games playing around the world for days, which makes refusing to participate simply because of the workload.
