Another day and month to power up $HIVE. I don't feel like writing a post, but I must. If I allow my current mindset and feelings to dominate, I don't know when I can resume publishing content on my blog.

A Toxic Environment

This is becoming unhealthy and toxic. An organization that operates based on the whims of the moment and impulses is putting too much pressure on people doing the leg work and the details. This is insensitivity as if the the current workload isn't enough.

With this kind of atmosphere, I could not concentrate on doing my regular tasks such as studies and blogging. I was contemplating resigning from my current post. Imagine getting a job in the business office and yet your time appears wasted in dealing with all these government regulatory bodies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and even the Department of Education (DepEd). The only helpful government institution I have observed is the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). At least, they grant us student scholarships once in a while.

Financial resources are wasted on paying penalties and processing papers here and there. Imagine the transportation fee and the food for employees visiting government offices, not to mention the gifts and the food we have to prepare for their visit just to gain their favor. I don't see any added value in all of these except receiving that certification that our school is allowed to continue its operation.

And not only that, the time that should be spent on productive work is being diverted to these senseless tasks. Of course, it is the institution's fault for taking for granted those requirements during the pandemic years.

Remaining Positive

Nevertheless, despite the negativity I see, I am still thankful that this job provides the necessities for my family and small savings every payday that I set aside to buy $HIVE.

Before powering up, I had 2,952 $HIVE Power. I love round numbers, so I decided to power up 42 $HIVE.

Finally, I hit the 3,000 mark. The next goal is to add another thousand perhaps within three to four months. God willing, I hope my Dolphin goal will be reached by the end of 2024.

My total HP is 3,035. I delegated 10 to @arlenec2021, and 10 to @kopiko-blanca, and 15 to @ryanssskie. However, since @kopiko-blanca now has his own HP, I decided I think three days ago to un-delegate the 10 HP. In the case of @ryansskie, I thought his user name could no longer be used and that's why I removed the 10 HP I delegated earlier. Thanks to @gadrian for his help and generosity in helping my officemate own an account with access to his keys. I delegated 5 HP to his account for him to do his initial activity on Hive.

As for other Hive Engine tokens, @arlenec2021 is growing her stakes in $SPORTS and @kopiko-blanca in $CENT. So far, @arlenec2021 now has 17M $SPORTS Power and @kopiko-blanca has 40,200 $CENT Power. The goal for @kopiko-blanca is to reach 100k $CENT Power and for @arlenec2021 is 50M $SPORTS Power.

Conclusion

Despite the challenges both from inside and outside of our educational institution, I am grateful that my job somehow gives me relative freedom to continue my activities on Hive. I am looking forward that three to five years from now, things will be different. How I wish a day will come when my sons can stand on their own and I will have the freedom to do what I like.
