I went out for a while with my family and decided to activate my step counter to focus on getting some good exercise and also make the trip more enjoyable. I visited the Traki Shopping Center and found a large crowd of people. Today is February 14, Valentine's Day, which is why the ice cream shops and food stores were packed. There was also live music in various parts of the mall, and the Sucre State Youth Symphony Orchestra was even scheduled to perform on the terrace. Everything was chaotic, but many people enjoyed it.
Although I no longer enjoy celebrations of this nature, as everything seems to be geared towards commercialism, I admit that I find it relaxing to walk around and distract myself for a while, so I focused on making this family outing serve that purpose. At this stage in my life, I am not interested in crowds or disorder; I have moved on from that phase and now I am a lover of peace and less crowded places.
On the other hand, I enjoyed seeing lots of young people with flowers in their hands and dressed in their best clothes, eating ice cream and strolling through the mall. That tradition has not been lost, nor has the tradition of giving stuffed animals, chocolates, and other gifts on a day that tends to separate love from friendship, at least in terms of passion.
Talking to a friend I ran into at the fair, he told me that everyone goes to the Hipergalerías Shopping Center because there is no other place in Cumaná that offers so many entertainment options and security until late at night. He's right about that. He was also with his family and ordered food, but there were so many people to serve that they told him his order would be ready in about an hour and a half.
Not wanting to miss out on the moment, I shared some ice cream on the way to Ayacucho Park. The ice cream shops were packed, with lines stretching out of the stores and onto the street. It was incredible to see the sea of people who gathered that afternoon. It should also be noted that Valentine's Day coincided with the Carnival celebration, so everything came together for families to enjoy these moments in a healthy way.
Once we had enjoyed our ice cream, we started our return journey, by which time it was already getting dark.

Salí un rato en compañía de mi familia, decidí activar el contador de pasos para enfocarme en realizar un buen recorrido y también hacer el viaje más agradable. Visité el Centro Comercial Traki y me encontré con una gran aglomeracion de personas, hoy es 14 de febrero, día del Amor y la Amistad, por tal razón las heladerías y comercios de comida estaban repletos. Aunque ahora no disfruto de las celebraciones de esta naturaleza, ya que todo luce orientado al aspecto comercial, admito que me relaja caminar y distraerme un rato, así que me enfoqué para que este paseo familiar tuviera ese fin. A estas alturas de mi vida no me interesan los tumultos ni el desorden, esa es etapa superada, ahora soy amante de la paz y los lugares menos concurridos.
Por otra parte, me agradó observar gran cantidad de jóvenes con sus flores en la mano y luciendo sus mejores atuendos para comer helados y pasear por el centro comercial. Tal tradición no se ha perdido ni tampoco la de obsequiar peluches, chocolates y otros detalles en un día que suele separar el amor de la amistad, en lo que respecta a lo pasional.
Conversando con un amigo que me encontré en el nivel Feria, me indicó que toda la gente acude al Centro Comercial Hipergalerías porque no existe en Cumaná otro lugar que ofrezca tantas alternativas de esparcimiento y seguridad hasta el horario nocturno. Tiene razón en ello. También estaba con su familia y pidió comida, la cantidad de personas por atender era tal que le indicaron que su orden estaría lista en aproximadamente hora y media.
Para no pasar por alto el momento, compartí unos helados rumbo al parque Ayacucho. Las heladerías estaban a reventar, las colas salían de los locales y finalizaban en la calle, era increíble el mar de personas que coincidieron en la tarde, se debe tener presente además que este Día de los Enamorados coincidió con la celebración del Carnaval, así que todo se juntó para que las familias disfrutaran sanamente de estos momentos.
Una vez que disfrutamos los helados iniciamos el retorno, para entonces ya estaba anocheciendo.
