Context: Cardiff, Wales, June 18th, 2005 In the aftermath of Aftab Ahmed's six against Gillespie, Bangladesh defeated Australia in the first-ever international cricket match. Do you remember what happened throughout the game? Aftab's pinch-hitting, Ashraful's historic innings, and Habibul Bashar's captain's knock are all highlights of the match. If you recall the game, you will almost certainly recall the team Bangladesh's throwback jersey. If you don't, you should. I still remember the Asraful doing the scoop against mighty Aussie bowlers wearing the jersey. Now for the next t20 world cup, Bangladesh chooses to wear the same jersey again. Let's take a walk on memory lane.

Full Story :

Do you remember the match? Aftab's pinch-hitting, Ashraful's historic innings, and Habibul Bashar's captain's knock are all highlights of the match. If you recall the game, you will almost certainly recall the team Bangladesh's throwback shirt. If you don't, you should. When I was younger, I recall the Asraful doing the scoop against big Australian bowlers who were dressed in the jersey. There was a large group of people gathering outside my house to witness the conclusion of the match. As I watched, they prayed solely for the sake of seeing Team Bangladesh win the competition. I witnessed their ecstasy when Michael Clark failed to make the run out at the end of the match as time expired. I was present for the entire game in which Mohammad Ashraful played his final innings of life. He approached the contest as though it were the hundredth time he had played against them. He managed to make the great Australian bowlers appear befuddled. And do you have any idea who the bowlers were? Glenn Macgrath, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz, and Brad Hogg are among the cast members. A group of top-tier bowlers. Nostalgia, what a wonderful thing! Yes, after viewing the new jersey, I went on a trip down memory lane to reflect on the past. We were a new team the last time we faced the powerful Australians, but the situation is different this time around. Team Bangladesh is a whole new group of players, including some world-class athletes. Team Bangladesh is capable of defeating any opponent at this point. I wish them the best of luck in the upcoming tournament.

That new jersey is almost similar to what the Habibul Bashar's men were wearing except that the sponsor's logo is different.

Bangladesh had a great run in their home matches against teams like Australia, New Zealand and although their start at UAE wasn't great, they are expected to come back strong given the talent they have.

Best of luck to you all Bangla fans and Bangladesh team :)

And they lost the first match. Meanwhile, they are struggling against Oman too.

It won't be easy for Oman to win as they need 50 runs from 25 balls against the quality bowling from Fizz and others.

Fizz is always a good bowler with his slow cutters.
Remember when he First played in IPL for Sunrisers hyderabad? he was simply unplayable and he lost his magic for sometime in between, but has come back strongly after that.
