Emma Raducanu : From sitting for A Level exam to win the US Open.
Context :
Born in 2002, age 18 Emma Raducanu just won the US Open and living the dream. It had been 44 years since a woman had won a Grand Slam title. That is a remarkable milestone, isn't it? Also She became the first British woman to reach the third round of #Wimbledon since Elena Baltacha in 2002.
Academic distress :
On Jan 5, 2021, She tweeted this, worrying about her A-level exams. As her results published already, she has A+ in both Mathematics and Economics. And Has A in the rest of the subjects. But I can say that this doesn't worry her anymore.
Seesaw journey to the US Open :
In June, she competed in her first Women's Tennis Association competition. Then, she was awarded a wild card to Wimbledon and competed in the event. She earned a spot in the last 16 of the tournament.She was unable to obtain a wild card for the US Open yet she participated in the qualifying round and advanced to the final round. The rest, as they say, is history.
