Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Capitals Match Review // Match 42
DC have lost their second game on the bounce. KKR beat DC by 59 runs. DC still hold their position at number two on the points table. They just need to win one match out of 3 matches remaining to confirm the playoffs. While on the other hand KKR improved their position on the points table and now they are truly alive in the hunt for the playoffs. They played total 11 matches and won 6 matches. Now they need to win 2 matches out of 3 matches remaining to confirm the playoffs. Now i'm going to shortly review the match.
KKR bat first and scored total 194 runs by 6 wickets. Rana and Narine both played great innings. Rana hammered 81 runs by 53 balls including 13 fours and 1 six. Narine played an attacking innings of 64 runs by 32 balls including 6 fours and 4 sixes. However he is a bowler but KKR use him as an all rounder. I think his innings was the huge plus point for KKR to challenge good form DC. In reply DC failed to chase down the run. They lost their opening pair Dhawan and Rahane early. Then Pant and Iyer made good partnership but both played slow innings. Facing lot of pressure they became prey on Chakrabarty. One by one Chakrabarty hunted Pant, Hetmyer, Pant, Stoinis, Axar. Chakrabarty picked up his maiden 5 wickets haul. Cummins also picked up 3 wickets. Chakrabarty was man of the match. I will share another match report KXIP vs SRH on my next post. Stay turned....
