The 37th match of the IPL 2021 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings yesterday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Punjab kings beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 runs and now holding their position at 5th place on the points table. They won 4 matches out of 10 matches. Still they need to win 3 or 4 matches to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand Sunrisers Hyderabad won only one match out of 9 matches. They are almost out.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl first. PBKS had a bad start. Mayank Agarwal has gone for only 5 runs. KL Rahul gone for 21 runs in 21 balls including 3 fours. Caribbean legend Chris Gayle scored only 14 runs in 17 balls. Aiden Markram scored 27 runs, Harpreet Brar 18* runs. Finally PBKS scored total 125 runs by 7 wickets.
SRH bowlers performed well. Caribbean all rounder Jason Holder picked up 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Rashid Khan, Abdul Samad, Bhuvneshwar kumar, Sandeep Sharma each picked up one wicket.
In reply SRH lost their top orders early. Aussie star David Warner isn't in good form. He has gone for only 2 runs then Kiwi star Kane Williamson came out but gone for only 1 runs. SRH faced huge pressure. Manish Pandey came out but gone for 13 runs, Kedar Jadav gone for 12 runs. Wriddhiman Saha was playing well but unfortunately ran out for 31 runs in 37 balls. Jason Holder was the one man army who played till end but couldn't chase down the target because allmost every batsman played very slow innings. Jason Holder scored unbeaten 47 runs in 29 balls including 5 big sixes.
PBKS bowlers performed their best. Ravi Bishnoi picked up 3 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami picked up two wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs including a maiden over. Arshdeep Singh took one wicket. Jason Holder was player of the match for his outstanding all round performance.
