A Collection of Movie and Tv Shows - My recommendations & Reviews

I was looking at some of my best works on the Blockchain as regards to movie and Tv Reviews. This made me realize I have written a lot of reviews over the years. I figured it’s time to put some of my best reviews in one post. You can get started on either of them you find worth your time.

First up is Billions review which I did in 2022

Have you ever felt like you have finally found that series that keeps giving you goosebumps from within your whole body system down to your mind because of the well crafted scenes, plot, characters and characterization, the actions and the dynamic play for power between the rich elite and the individuals in law. Well, guess what? I have found mine, and the series also happens to be the best finance TV show of all time for me and a ton of other die-hard fans. And this is series is no other that ‘Billions’ by Brian Koppelman and David Levien.

This review is both in English and Spanish, Although it’s a bit lengthy, it’s worth checking out as to date, nothing beats billions in my opinion when it comes to shows on finance.

I did a concluding review in 2025 on billions as the series had something I feel was interesting which wasn’t included in my first article.

It was the introduction of Michael prince!

The writers of the show were tasked with how to give Bobby Axelrod a good write-off while continuing the series for another two seasons after season 5. Their solution was the introduction of a new billionaire, Mike Prince, who teams up with Bobby's sworn enemy, Chuck Rhoades, to bring him down or at least get him out of the picture while unravelling his big plan one step at a time.

I believe this two reviews would give you a good feel of what billions entails and why it is worth watching.

Up next is arguably one of the best series of all time. The Big Bang theory. I did a review review that focuses on one character. I believe big bang theory is a must watch for everyone.

Chess & Sports

As a chess player and a big lover of the game, I’ve reviewed and recommended some chess movies and series.

Starting with one of my personal favorite, The Queen of katwe.

This review was done in 2021 and to date I still think it’s one of the best chess movies out there!

Another standout chess series was the Netflix hit The Queen’s Gambit.

The story starts in Lexington, Kentucky, where an eight-year-old Beth, having lost her mom in a car accident, is taken to a halfway house where she is shown chess by the structure's caretaker, Mr Shaibel. As was normal during the 1950s, the shelter apportions everyday sedative pills to the young ladies to balance their disposition, which transforms into a habit for Beth.

I did a review on drama about sports and i think this is one of the best movies of all time when it comes to sports.

Today I bring to you a very interesting movie that focuses on success,A true life story that was just released in the cinemas less than a week ago,it tells the sucess story of the popular tennis sisters which you might have heard about "SERENA WILLIAMS" and "VENUS WILLIAMS" and how their father Richard Williams contributed to their success.

One reason why I loved this movie is because of the way it made me feel.the life of this well-known sisters weren't smooth,this movie shows the obstacles and problems they faced to get to were they are. It is a very emotional biographical drama that focuses on struggles to success.

African Themed Movie & Series

I did a review on some Nigerian movies I love and enjoyed.

One I’d recommend is “Lockdown” I reviewed this in 2021 and I think it’s one of my favorite Nigerian movie.

Imagine a normal day in your life. You get dressed to go to work and stop by a supermarket to pick up some snacks. Shortly after you get in, all entrances and exits are shut. Then the manager drops the bombshell, stating that everybody in the supermarket at that time would be locked in for weeks as a precautionary measure for a disease or a serial killer on the loose or worse case scenario a zombie invasion. Then you realize you left your phone in the car as you hurried into the supermarket earlier. Now, you're stuck in a place with strangers and no means of communication. This could equate for hell. This reminds me of 2020 when the whole world was on lockdown, citizens trapped in their house, others in isolation centres; distance between family and friends, entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Very interesting movie, certainly worth your time.

Another movie which certainly raised the bar in Nolywood was Anikulapo. I believe it was in the cinema for a while too. You can read the review here.

Half a yellow sun was also one of my favorite as I enjoyed watching the movie as much as I enjoyed reading the book!
