Hello everyone,Welcome to my Chess Poem Series. Today,I will be writing a poem Titled;

Chess is Life

Life resembles a game of chess.
You are either black or white (Male or Female)
You get going solid, and get done with nothing.
However, between the start and end are good and bad times.
Very much like chess, in life you start with people close by.
Then, at that point, you begin losing pieces, pawns right away.
However, those misfortunes open your eyes.
Then, at that point, you should be cautious what you do.
You gain some certainty sooner or later.
In life, you open up additional right now.
In chess, you risk more significant pieces.
Then, at that point, you lose somebody significant.
You isolate yourself in life, feeling more secure.
In chess you encompass your King with your last pieces.
No one can arrive at your King now.
Actually like chess, it's not possible for anyone to break through to you.
You encompass yourselft firmly with what you have left.
Hanging on as long as you can.
Until at some point or another, something gets through.
It upsets your tranquility, you retaliate, just to lose.
In chess, you lose your King, in reality, you lose your life.

Poem Analysis/Thoughts

It was Author Allan Rufus that first said “Life is like a game of chess".To win you have to make a move. Knowing which move to make comes with insight and knowledge, and by learning the lessons that are accumulated along the way.

Very much like chess, in life you start with people close by.
Then, at that point, you begin losing pieces, pawns right away.
However, those misfortunes open your eyes.
Then, at that point, you should be cautious what you do.

In this line, I explained how we are Born to people and caretakers around us but as we grow older things happen, people we love leave us and we are left to learn alone and carry on with Life. Just like in chess.

In chess, you lose your King, in reality, you lose your life.

Checkmate! In chess, Death! in reality. It's all a game and we have to keep all we have to protect ourselves. In chess sometimes, we resign(forfeit) the game.I could likened that to Suicide , Many stop Life when they can't take it anymore.

My Chess poem series are thoughts that comes to my mind which I write occasionally and I will really love to get your comments on what you think.

Compare that to life, Do u hurry in making decisions? Chess teaches lot of life lessons. When I play chess, I am very aggressive and I try to win quickly. It's the same for me in life, I also don't have patience. I tend to do things quickly and in the fast possible way.

I like all analogies between life and chess. Seeing the queen as being quickly in everyones business. Being diplomatic asa king, nearly immobile in the beginning. Being moved like pawns in only one direction and often enough sacrificed or at least offered. A knight coming with big surprise, a bishop from from ambush. So many analogies.

Great peom! Well done!! And I like that in chess the king can't be beaten. The king is conquered. Just like in life, we sometimes get conquered and sometimes act in sovereignty. Sometimes overthrow others and sometimes correlate for quite some time. So to me chess in life is more a day, a week, a year then a lifetime. And in my perspective we don't impersonate the king, but we pull the strings. So let's play.

Yes, and when we fail in chess, we begin again with lessons learnt.

Thanks for your perspective and great feedback, you also sound very poetic in your words. Also for the support as always.
