My Actifit Report Card: June 3 2025
Over sixteen thousand steps yesterday. I had to go to the lake house and do some yard maintenance.
Mowed the lawn, pulled some weeds, and steps added up really quickly. I have to keep the yard in a really good shape until it sells.
The yard looks a little different as it gets closer to the summer. Things look more green, but less flowers are in bloom.
There are new flowers coming up like daisies, but they are not here yet. Banana plants are getting bigger, but still far from the size they will reach by the fall.
On the way back, I stopped by Costco and filled up my car, and picked up some stuff for us to eat, like ready chicken and bison meat for burgers.
We made those burgers on the grill today. My wife adds some hawaiian sauce and BBQ sauce to the meat as well as pineapple, and those are some of the best burgers I have ever tried.
We are having our first in person day in Seattle after more than five years of remote only work.
I was looking up the bus schedule and discovered that my town no longer has a direct bus route to Seattle! That really is not good, I will try driving for about twenty minutes to a nearby town to catch the new light rail.
Supposedly, it is only about forty-five minutes on light rail to Seattle, but I will have to see if that is true.
I will be going to Seattle once a week, so I will have to figure out what the best way to get there. I might just have to drive as our public transportation in the Seattle area is really bad and seems to have gone even worse after the pandemic.
From the positive side, I will be able to work out in our gym at work. I'm not sure this change will be good for productivity or employee morale, but that is not the reason we are going back to the offices, Seattle wants their lunch money.
I will make sure to pack lunch with me :)

Once a week doesn't seem too bad for that commute. I can't imagine the people who do it every day. I had a day where I hit 20K steps this past weekend, but that is pretty rare for me. I usually struggle to get 7000.
I used to do it four times a week before Covid, but there was a direct bus from my town. It was 5 minutes drive to park and ride, then an hour later and I'm in Seattle.
Yeah, no thank you! I am happy with the half hour one day drive I currently have. It's pretty clam too with very light traffic the whole way. It gives me lots of time to prepare for the day and decompress at the end.
Yeah, just came back from the trip to the office. That train station has 3000 parking spots and not even one left even before 8 AM...
Wow, that's crazy!
The yard is looking nice my friend, summertime is a good time to get your @actifit steps just maintaining the yard!😅
Enjoy the burgers!🤗
For sure :)
