Indegenus People Day

Today I had a day off from work, Indegenus People day, I am on mini vacation since last Friday, but today is a holiday, so I didn't have to take it off.

It was nice day to catch up on things that I normally don't get to. First thing in the morning I drove our daughter to school, her school is still on despite the holiday. The roads were wide open with a lot less traffic than usual even for a Monday. So I got back home about fifteen to twenty minutes earlier than usual.

We didn't used to celebrate the Indegenus People day until just a few years ago. I think it used to be called Columbus Day and even government was open, only banks were closed on this day.

So after I got home I did some yard work filled up our yard waste bin with leaf cuttings, replaced the toilet seat in our third bathroom, fixed zipper on my wife's purse that was not closing because part of a plastic package was stuck in it, so zipper would not move at all.

Then I worked on backing up her iPhone to the cloud and packed it to send back to T-Mobile for one thousand dollar credit on her new iPhone. I also managed to clean up my office and drive both phones to UPS and stopped by Fred Myers for bananas, Lunchables for our daughter and a few other things.

For Dinner tonight we had bison burgers with the last of my home grown tomatoes. We also had them with fresh bread from the Red Hen Bakery instead of the burger buns. My wife prepares the burger meat with Hawaiian sauce and BBQ sauce and a few other ingredients that make for some really delicious burgers.

We finished up the day changing water in all three of our aquariums. Sixty-five gallon tank took the longest because we had to vacuum it for a while talking out twenty five gallons of water. Also it is heavily planted and talking out plants then putting them back in takes a while.

The twenty and ten gallon tanks take a lot less time, though this time we re-did the aquarium landscaping, moving plants and rearranging everything. All together it took two to three hours.

It was a productive day where I caught up on things that I normally don't get to. Tomorrow bright and early my wife is flying out to San Diego for a business trip and I get to play Mister Mom for a couple days where I will get to not only drive our daughter back and forth to school, but also take care of packing her lunch getting her to her online tutor and feeding her.

Tomorrow we have Zeeks pizza planned after school, that should be nice, we have not gone into the restaurant for a while and I love their pizza straight out of the oven.

Splinterlands season ends in less than two days and the brawl has started this morning, but I didn't get to it yet, so I will have to enter my battles after I drive our daughter to school tomorrow.
