A Nice Sunday

Today started with a nice family breakfast, then we want for a walk at the nearby water treatment plant. It has been a while since we went there. We usually walk in our neighborhood or the nearby business park.

Today was also unusually nice for the Seattle area weather in November as it was sunny and not windy. Usually it is all overcast and gloomy and raining nonstop in November.

We really enjoyed a perfect walk and beautiful colors of fall. These are the last days of the bright colors on the trees as many are loosing their leaves or have already lost their leaves.

As we arrived back home from our walk it was almost time for our son to come over. He has been away for a few weeks and I really missed our workouts. He has been very busy with his full-time work and his new girlfriend, and starting an MBA program as well as doctor appointments and tests for an inflammation of his knee.

I am concerned with his knee issue and he seems to have inherited a gene from his mother, that causes it. They are still trying to get to the bottom of it and hopefully will get it under control.

As he came in we had pelmeni, which are basically Russian meat dumplings that go really well with butter and salt and black pepper. Then we watched an episode of Halo show. We are getting close to finishing that show and he already planning what we are going to watch next.

He wants to watch Alien Romulus movie followed by the Alien Earth show. These are both from the Alien movie franchise. Should be fun, but I am not sure that my wife will be the biggest fan of those. But she is great at going along with it for everyone to have a great time and enjoy the family time.

It is another way she is great at keeping the family activities fun for everyone by doing things that are not always the most fun for her. She is also great at helping to keep the conversation going.

After the episode we went for a weight lifting workout in our garage. The workouts with my son always take longer than when I am alone. But they are really enjoyable as this is our special time together.

When we finished the workout I also gave him a haircut. Since it has been a while his hair was a bit overgrown.

We spent the rest of the day just hanging out and relaxing. It was a perfect way to finish off the weekend.

Tomorrow is back to work and back to the grind of driving our daughter to school and back. I feel recharged and ready for it.
