While I totally agree that you should not flop to the ground when poked in the eye, I do actually believe at that point in the fight it was borderline reckless behavior the way Weidman was keeping his hand open.
I believe he was trying to parry strikes by reaching out JUST like Jones is known for doing. He literally landed a clean one-two eye poke which is super illegal whether it was just done to him or not. I think it should be a clear no decision.

there are a lot of people that feel this way. I remember some talks about how they were talking about restructuring the gloves to cut down on this happening but they always fall apart.
